As of VIMP 4.0.2 video embeds can be controlled on external websites. This requires that you have installed and configured Wowza along with the Wrench extension.

Important note:
As of VIMP 4.0.4 the value of wrench.token.resolver.sql has to be changed as follows:
SELECT username FROM url_signing WHERE md5(token)=:hashedtoken
