With the Batch Upload you can upload media files like you're used to by clicking the "Upload" link on the top right of the form. Visually only the additional upload format ".zip" appears within the "available file formats".
By clicking the "Add" button, you now can select several files within the dialog box. You can alternatively repeatedly click the "Add" button to add files to the queue. Files within the queue can be cancelled at any time during the upload moreover.
It is also possible to add ZIP archives containing media files to the queue.
